Repositories of the Church
Brigham Young University is located
in Provo, Utah and contains hundreds of thousands
of items in the L. Tom Perry Special Collections.
Their collection contains records relating to the
Church and church schools, many of which have been
digitized and are available on the internet.
Brigham Young University - Hawaii
in Laie, Hawaii contains records pertaining to BYU-Hawaii,
the surrounding communities, the Church in Hawaii,
and other areas of the Pacific.
The Church archives many records
pertaining to the history of the Church. Public access
to the Church History Archive is available in the
Church Office Building in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Major Repositories in Idaho, Utah, and Wyoming
ISU houses
records of interest to Southeast Idaho, Pocatello,
and the region.
The University
of Idaho Special Collections in Moscow, Idaho containes
collections relating to the history of Idaho and
the Pacific Northwest.
Boise State
University's Special Collections is part of the Albertsons
library in Boise, Idaho.
The University
of Utah's Marriot Library Special Collections is
a major repository of Utah history. They also maintain
the Mountain West Digital Library, providing online
access to many
Utah State
has archived a varaity of different items such as
university records, art, photographs, and a large
folklore collection.
The American
Heritage Center collects items of regional, national,
and international interest. It is one of the largest
repositories in the region. Many collections also
have "Virtual
Exhibits" online.
